This ultra-wide Samsung curved monitor is ultra fine. September 14, 2015. But it makes using the ultra wide screen feel less overwhelming. Alienware's $4,000 55-inch OLED gaming monitor.

I own this and the LG ultra you also own.Difference:. Build Quality is much better. It has a premium feel that the LG certainly lacks.
(LG has a cheap lightweight plastic feel while the Samsung has a finish that fits an executive setup). Adjustable height and tilt. Built in speakers. (Unbelievably well for a built in and my main setup is a $300 headphone). The curve does make it really immersive, especially for gaming. In response to the comment below saying he saw it in person and it's not great.
I believe you can't tell how immersive it is unless you are emulating how you use a monitor (seated right in front of it and in the proper viewing distance in comparison to standing up and looking down on it; need to spend some time with it.). Brand name: Samsung LG. I find the colors more crisp (Opinion, but I certainly believe what my eyes see).
Have I mentioned how aesthetically much more pleasing it is to the eyes?. Thank you for your inputI did some research and went to BestBuy to check it out and get the feel of it.Here's my comparison: LG-29UB55-B - Samsung S29E790C.The LG seems to be heavier on paper specs. The material on LG is not slippery and it's not one tone color compared to Samsung looks shiny reflects more light thus looking better but grip is plastic, I feel when I squeeze it ( which I shouldn't do normally anyways) the plastic on the sides. Both have adjustable height and tilt about the same, not much difference.
+-15 degrees vertical.LG is 5W speaker, Samsung has 7W. Dont know about the quality I use my HDMI cable for my lg sound seems fine ( not an audiophile). Relying on that for gaming and movies compared to my JBL lenovo laptop speakers they are similar.Curve as you said, depends on the user. I could go either way. But the curve isn't too curved. So It's not like you put your head in the center and the screen wraps around it:D.I guess you may be right.
But in this case LG isn't some random company either. It's not Vizio:).I liked the colors on the LG more, but Samsung looked brighter at the store, plus they didn't have it hooked up to a quality input so maybe Samsung may look better theoretically.( I'm using my LG at 30% brightness at home. My eyes cant handle it.).Again curve vs flat.I want to add the LG is an IPS panel (5ms response time),Samsung is a VN panel ( 4ms response time).I've also read the VN panel has slightly higher input lag compared to IPS. Not sure about these two products in terms of hard numbers though.Personal opinion, I rather go for the 34 inch for curved, 29 I didn't find it too appealing for curved, seems a bit small.
Good for coding and side-by-side document editing and surprisingly a lot of movies the feel is better than 16:9. But maybe that's me trying to justify my purchase.I've read about ghosting on both screens, I play games like Assassins Creed and Witcher, so I don't see much of that.Bottom line:I don't think this screen is worth the money $350 compared to $200.
